WARD Quit his Tech Job to Pursue Music

Ward is the rising singer-songwriter who is now based on the West Coast. The dedicated singer-songwriter has just released an indie-rock ballad titled “Stand Me” in late June. The song has a slightly romantic vibe but still feels somber and melancholy. His soft and emotional vocals mesh perfectly with the epic sounding guitar tracks which eventually leads to a melodic electric guitar solo. After the incredible solo, the song emerges into a more anthemic vibe and by the time the song ends you will already want to start playing it again. Ward worked as a tech executive in New York City and quit that career path and moved to Los Angeles to dive into his true passion: music. We are so glad he did because his music is a true blessing to the scene.

You can hear the song on Spotify:

“How can you stand me, when I just toss and turn? When I stay up every night just to try and make it work? I’ll break it down, I do it all the time babe. I’ll tear it down, I do it all the time babe. So I’m asking, how you stand me, and all my songs? About the ways I still regret all the things I wish I’d done? I’ll tear it down, I do it all the time babe. I’ll break it down, I do it all the time babe. So I’m asking. Love if I can’t save myself from drowning under water, and I can’t find another way to fill my bones, how can you stand me?” – Ward, Stand Me

Ward will perform in Los Angeles on July 20th at Molly Malone’s to raise money for a charity.
