Long Island Melodic Emo Band, Oso Oso, Release New Track, “it’s all bait”

Lofty Goal or Baiting Delusion? Oso Oso’s Latest Track “it’s all bait” on What’s Worth Chasing

Oso Oso, the long-running project of Long Island songwriter Jade Lilitri, shares new single “it’s all bait,”

Following previously released tracks like “the nights” and “know you know me better,” there’s another chapter emerging from Oso Oso’s Jade Lilitri’s story. With sharp yet digestible guitars tackling the damn near paralyzing considerations in the content of the story, “it’s all bait” is a melodic songwriting venture that speaks to heavy realizations of what’s worth chasing or leaving behind, all while staying true to the signature sound Lilitri has crafted since the mid 2010’s.

Exploring the ins and outs of any worthwhile effort of his pursuits in the world we’re in today, the lyrics and melodies stitched together into songs recorded at BirthdayLand Studio, including “it’s all bait,” were crafted with thoughtful mapping and sincere contemplation that make the single what it is today. Moreover, “it’s all bait” is somewhat of a standout track in the sense that its very existence speaks to the notion of Oso Oso’s upcoming record, an exchange of information. With lyrics speaking to what we amount to in the grand scale of the universe that “eclipses us,” there’s a kind of hindsight through a creative narrator’s lens as Jade explores what’s been real, what’s been worth it, and what’s, well, been bait.

“I think my songwriting is probably rooted in wanting to be loved but not domesticated, enlightened but not disillusioned, wanting to be your own person but also belong,” Jade explains. “These things all seem impossible; I don’t know if that’s pessimistic but it feels real. That’s the truth I’m trying to dig at. That’s what has always seemed like the point of all of this for me as an artist: exploring and sitting in the balance whatever this rollercoaster is.”

Jade Lilitri (Oso Oso) crafted his upcoming record with Albany producer/engineer, Dan Maddalone, leaning on an intimately moving series of melodies in the vein of modern rock, indie alternative, emo and punk genres shaped around the frame of Oso Oso.

“it’s all bait” cuts through the rust of the years of being worn down or disillusioned, shining prominently with years of experience as a prolific songwriter determined to bring authenticity and a well-mixed track. There’s undeniable feeling behind endearing guitar tones and riffs nested between Jade’s vocal harmonies that nod to his earlier work in a signature and inspired fashion.
