L.A. Trans Pride 2019 Kicks off this Weekend!

All available info can be found here.

Trans Pride L.A. is one of the longest running and best attended trans pride events in the country. Trans Pride L.A. is a vibrant weekend event full of food, fun, community building, outreach and celebrates the resiliency and strength of our community. This year’s event is Friday evening and Saturday, June 14 & 15.

The fun begins on Friday evening at 7:30 PM with the Big Queer Convo. The Convo is the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s long-running community forum/interview series that brings together luminaries and influencers of the trans/GNC/ENBY community to discuss subject matter that is often overlooked within our community. It takes place in our 200-seat, state-of-the-art Renberg Theatre. As part of this forum, we ask audience members to submit questions they’d like to ask you in advance and you’d answer from the stage. The forum is followed by an hors d’oeuvres/dessert reception and art opening in our adjacent Advocate/Gochis Gallery.

The entire weekend is offered completely free to the public. The Saturday festival begins at 12 PM and features a panel on the gender non-conforming/non-binary community, a workshop for parents of trans/GNC/ENBY children developed by youth from our LifeWorks youth mentoring program workshops, story time for our younger guests, an amazing inter-generational art exhibit exploring the our new gender revolution, a clothing swap, name & gender change clinic, over 40 community organizations offering outreach opportunities, free food and beverages. The event is capped off with our Varie”T”y show; a beautifully produced show featuring several immensely talented trans entertainers.
