Shelly Peiken presents an incredible new version of the GRAMMY-nominated song “Bitch”

Shelly Peiken is an American songwriter who is best known for “What A Girl Wants” and “Come On Over Baby,” recorded by Christina Aguilera, and the GRAMMY-nominated “Bitch,” co-written and recorded by Meredith Brooks. This year, Peiken reimagines the latter, and audiences will once again be thankful. With ominous backing harmonies and moody guitar riffs, this version of “Bitch” is a darker spin on the original, while still possessing the arresting lyrics that captivated audiences for decades. Whether you’re listening to the song for the first time, or for the hundredth time, you cannot help but be connected to the song, either emotionally, mentally physically (try not to dance in some way! We dare you!) In addition to the incredible “Bitch”…after decades of professional songwriting and a GRAMMY-nominated Audiobook (Confessions of a Serial Songwriter), Shelly Pieken is thrilled to be making an album of her own, which will include personal interpretations of “Bitch,” “Almost Doesn’t Count” (a Brandy Norwood favorite), Jessie J’s “Who You Are,” The Pretenders’ “Human On The Inside,” as well as some previously unreleased songs that audiences will hear for the first time.
