
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">ELIAS02 serves us intoxicating visuals for his pop trap hit “I Think U Love Me,” and we can’t take it off repeat.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">ELIAS02, formally known as just ;Elias. Is a R&;B/Trap Pop artist who’s ability to thrive in any genre, makes them a chameleon in the music world. Invoking heartfelt lyrics, with a passionate, effortless delivery, they have formed a career and discography that stretches over the past 12 years.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Captivating audiences along the way, ;ELIAS02 ;started their real journey in 2017. When the non binary singer joined forces with hip hop group “Adobe House,” giving the star a unique spotlight and exposure to an audience that is not historically LGBT+ friendly. Lacing the groups music with heavy hitting verses and catchy hooks, all while releasing singles, an EP and 2 albums, ELIAS02 proved he’s a force to be reckoned with. Towards the end of 2020, the rap group dismantled, but that didn’t stop the star. Now an independent artist, ;ELIAS02 ;has released 3 singles since parting ways with his label/ group. ;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This brings us to the song “I Think U Love Me” and the music video ELIAS02 put out with it. The lighthearted, melancholic trap beat perfectly compliments ELIAS02’s energy and beautiful vocals. The opening verse has creative vocal melodies combined with eloquent flows and vocal tones. The hook is the most addicting part, with lyrics that make you want to singalong with them. At the very end of the verse, there’s a calming sweet melody that always sticks with me. This song, through and through, keeps me coming back for more.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The music video perfectly matches the song, with slowed down shots and hype shots. We get up close and personal with ELIAS02 as they sing and dance to the song. One shot that sticks out to me is when they roll around sensually in money next to a mirror singing the song. These crispy clear shots combined with the transitions, the effects, and the color scheme puts me in a trance. This video is a MUST ADD to all your YouTube music video playlists!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Describe your release as best you can to us.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This release is me reclaiming my independence and my sexuality. It’s my sound refined and polished for the first time in a very long time. I feel like I’ve finally reached one of my final forms. So much growth and learning over the years, and now, I’m finally at peace with myself and confident in everything I do. I thought the last 5 years were the beginning of my journey, but it wasn’t even the start of it. It was just getting me ready for the future!</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">What was your favorite part about making this song and video?</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">My favorite part making this project had to be actually having the extra money to invest into it (thanks, California unemployment). It’s one of the first things I’ve funded myself in my 11 years of making music. I paid for studio time, and quality mixing. In my past, I’ve always worked with friends who recorded and produced for me out of the kindness of their hearts, so I was never very stern, so to speak, in the studio or video process back then. But now that I’m paying for stuff, I can actually feel comfortable saying something doesn’t sound or look right.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">What was the hardest part making this song and video?</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The hardest part about making the song was finding a place to record it. I currently live in a fairly small town in Arizona, but I was able to find someone that knew what they were doing and that I vibed with. The next obstacle was getting the video made. I knew that with COVID-19, it would be difficult to travel to Los Angeles and film a video with multiple people. So I hit up someone I had known back in Tucson, Arizona. I had to borrow my aunt’s truck to drive up there. We didn’t start filming until 1:00am and we only had one area to shoot in, but I made it work. The dancers in the video were friends of the director who were just hanging out, but they were more than happy to be in the video!</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Was this release cathartic for you?</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It was very cathartic for me actually. It took quite a bit of time and patience to get it all done, especially since it was the first thing I was releasing independently. I was formally in a group/label known as “Adobe House,” which was full of artists, producers and engineers. So I always had their help. The group dismantled in mid 2020, so this time, it was on me to do everything. But I did it and I’m very proud of the result.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">What keeps you motivated?</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The biggest thing keeping me motivated, and that has always kept me motivated, is that I’ve known I was supposed to be a famous singer, musician or whatever since I was like, 5 years old. I’ve never lost that ambition. I’ve stayed with it my entire life. I can feel it in my soul and in my bones that I was born to do this. I’ve done so much over the years that not a lot of people are aware of. But I’m a fuckin STAR. I always have been. I don’t have to try. I’ve always captivated people with my personality and my talents. That’s something you can’t buy or download on the internet. Not everyone has that. You can’t learn it. I just have that thing, that “it factor,” and I’ve felt it’s presence every day since I can remember.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">What can we expect next from you?</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The next thing I’m going to release is probably another single, but I do have like a 3 song EP ready to record. I just need to get to my friends studio in Phoenix to actually record it. But when the timing is right, that will happen. The music is great, I’m growing so much as a songwriter and a vocalist. Even as a person. I’m not afraid of any part of myself anymore. I know I have the raw talent and the charisma, I just need the right people to see it so I can make things bigger and better.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">What other artists are you listening to right now?</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">My music taste is always all over the place. I love a lot of R&;B and Rap music. Like Bryson Tiller, Kehlani, Ariana, Snoh Aalegra, Alina Baraz. But I also love Gucci Mane, Pooh Shiesty, Young Dolph, Meg The Stallion, BbyMutha. It’s always very random. But as for other queer artists, I really enjoy E. Alvin, Kisos, Saint Wade, Oseph Parks, NEO10Y, Andrea Giovanni. Just to name a few, there’s so many!</p>
