Ben Wagner has songs that showcase humanity. Recently, Wagner released an all-acoustic version of his record Inner State. These versions allow room for his songwriting talent to shine. One of my personal favorites is the last track on the record titled “Countryside (Acoustic).” It’s a song about getting in some well-deserved self-care in the countryside. It’s a song about longing for peace and rest. Perhaps Wagner currently lives in a busy city and is homesick for the place he comes from. His hometown now sounds like a retreat. The acoustic guitars drive the song while the vocal floats on top in a soothing way. Enjoy the song and the LP on Spotify now:
