Meet your next Alt-pop track obsession: ‘body bag’ by Piper Connolly
Piper Connolly is excited to announce an empowering collection of her work with her upcoming EP, she’s too much!, out on September 25, 2026. A candid coming-of-age storytelling meeting a lifelong love for 2000s pop-rock, Piper’s modern studio sparkle and alluring charisma resonate among her peers and critics alike.
“Piper’s music is a nostalgic trip down memory lane, blending alt-pop and punk with a fresh twist.” – Ladygunn
she’s too much! was produced by Esjay Jones (Billy Corgan, Dave Navarro) and Kevin “Thrasher” Gruft (Gwen Stefani, MGK), and mixed by Grammy winner Nathan Dantzler of The Hit Lab (Sabrina Carpenter, Teddy Swims). It is preceded by the celebratory lead single called “beautiful life,” and now Connolly releases even more from the extended play with another offering, “body bag.”
Speaking on the song, Connolly has this to say:
“‘body bag’ is a song about being underestimated, betrayed, and talked about like you’re already gone – and then getting back up louder and stronger than before. I wrote it from that moment where someone thinks they’ve ended you, but all they really did was give you proof that you’re harder to break than they thought.”

“It’s dramatic, a little unhinged, and meant to feel like an alt-pop revenge anthem but underneath the bite, it’s about resilience. I hope people hear it and feel powerful, especially if they’ve ever been made to feel disposable, replaceable or easy to erase. You can break me down, but you can’t put me in a body bag. I wanted ‘body bag’ to feel like the moment you realize someone tried to make you the tragedy but you’re actually the plot twist.”
The Phoenix-bred and LA-based rising star will be touring in support of the she’s too much! EP, playing songs off the much-anticipated tracklist:
01.) beautiful life
02.) bubblegum & razorblades
03.) better than this
04.) joyride
05.) body bag
06.) unapologetic
