Hard-Hitting Pop Punk Heartbreak, “Cherry Wine” by Sink In

Hard-Hitting Pop Punk Heartbreak, “Cherry Wine” by Sink In

The heavy pop band known as Sink In dropped a new single that is equal parts hypnotic, danceable, and heartbreaking with “Cherry Wine.”

Through catchy hooks with a revamped heavy pop-punk sound, the band packs their punch in the vein of Don Bronco, Set It Off, and hints of Bilmuri. The guitars weave and finesse through the quickened heartbeat of drums with tricky grooves that keep the pace of “Cherry Wine” effortlessly.

The singer’s voice is as passionate and expressive as it is uniquely recognizable, so sweet on the ears. His voice shares characteristics of the instrumentals in terms of its stylistic depth and somewhat gritty spunk. “Cherry Wine” is a menagerie of coalescing sounds that result in a mix of danceability and head-banging at the same time. As Sink In would describe it, it “sounds like a pop-punk song that was also an 80’s detective movie.” With lyrics like, “Call the detective, bring every officer, can you tell me, do all these prints lead right back here to her?” they’re on the money with the themes and artistic vision.

If you like walls of gorgeous sounds in a hard-hitting chorus with timeless melodies in your pop-punk songs, check out “Cherry Wine” by Sink In.
