Dessie Magee, an Irish singer-songwriter, just released his new single ‘Bandit.’ Magee, who has worked post-rock, blues and alternative elements into his largely acoustic ballads, is a master composer and this song makes that extremely clear. ‘Bandit’ is defined by his expressive strumming in conjunction with other airier, more passing melodic elements. Magee‘s voice has some real grit, but not at the expense of his pop sensibility. His voice really conveys the emotion behind the lyrics. Expect to hear more from him soon!
