Danish post-rockers Ilt just released their new track ‘Monochromatic Fields’. This ethereal, ambient track is defined by its seven-minute length, its expansive song structure and its patient, intense climaxes. Although these guys seem to follow the more traditional post-rock tracks of bands like Godspeed! You Black Emperor and Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate), this is certainly a strong interpretation of the genre. The saxophone interlude, which pops up toward the end of the song, gives ‘Monochromatic Fields’ a retro, distinctly Bill Clinton vibe. This single is available on Spotify. Check it out below!
