‘Solid Grounds’ by SPACESHIPS is a straight-forward, riff-oriented rock tune with strong atmospheric and ambient tendencies. The band refers to their music as “post-gaze”. This tune is carried by quality guitar licks, full, emotionally-wrung masculine vocals and an on point rhythm section. The reverb-drenched, fuzzy guitar really embodies this humble, compositionally-oriented genre. Everything about the song really clicks together well – even if the mixing is a little bit off.
