‘I Am Beaming’, the Green Gerry song, is some vibe-oriented, dramatic dream pop. This shoegaze-addled artist originally hails from Athens, GA, but now calls Los Angeles home. The song’s movement between sweet, pensive stretches of twinkly guitar and brutal, jarring industrial interludes works really well. Often, dream pop and shoegaze tracks have a good premise but fail to deliver in an entirely satisfying way.
