‘Beth’ by Prints of Monaco Is a Self-Described Sadboysong

5 2 18 Prints of Monaco‘Beth’, the new Prints of Monaco song, is some lowkey, romantic indie rock. The band described it as a “sadboysong about a relationship that wasn’t meant to be.” This Brooklyn-based group makes good use of synthesizers in their work. At the beginning of the track, some awesome, reverb-drenched choral vocals help present the song. The guitar work on ‘Beth’ is simple but suiting. The breathy, sad lead vocals which turn into sweet croons really define the song’s essence. This is about as emo as you can get without actually being emo. Check out ‘Beth’ below!
