Bryn’s ‘Pull Up’ Is the Feminization of the Fetty Wap Sound

5 8 18 BrynBryn’s ‘Pull Up’ featuring Yung Fume is the feminization of the Fetty Wap sound. This “eighteen-year-old newcomer born and bred in Croydon” is “able to go hard in on 16 bars before switching to powerful R&B vocals.” Bryn can obviously rap, but her melodious, auto-tune-drenched vocalizations are definitely the highlight on here. This pop-rap hybrid is truly infectious. It’s kind of crazy how far the sound and style a specific artist from Paterson, New Jersey has gone. The beat, while kind of generic, is impeccably produced and quite hard to get out of your head. Bryn has tons of potential. You’ll probably be hearing ‘Pull Up’ on the radio somewhere soon.
