Redacted’s ‘Zap’ Is Some Raw, Grungy Alt-Rock

5 8 18 RedactedRedacted’s ‘Zap’ is some fuzzy, lo-fi alternative rock. The band says, “We play loud. We play heavy. We play soft sometimes, too. But we always play with out hearts.” This rough mix seems to feature classic rock and grunge influences as well as some post rock and metal tendencies. The angsty, obscured lyrics really exude the image of a damp, moldy basement in nineties Seattle. While the musicianship isn’t super precise, these guys make up for it with raw emotion. The especially heavy bit at the track’s end is an awesome kicker. These guys have tons to offer. Check out ‘Zap’ below!
