Diva Cop Makes Intense, Bare Bones Post-Punk on ‘Pull My Leg’

5 18 18 Diva CopDiva Cop’s ‘Pull My Leg’ is bass-heavy, straightforward post-punk. This North Texas duo is made of, “beloved recording engineer Brack Cantrell… and Jared Starcher” of Mother Tongues. These guys let their instruments do the leg work. The production is well done on here, but it’s really the quality composition and well-formed ideas that carry the track. Clearly, the duo takes some cues from Death From Above, but the unglamorous, rock-oriented aesthetic is their own. It seems like Middle America has conditioned these two to take their own musical path. These guys have a lot to offer. Check out ‘Pull My Leg’ here!
