Clearly, these guys are taking some strong cues from the emo scene, but their geographic isolation seems to have begat a more unique point of view. The bright, clean guitars seem at odds with the darker, more melancholic composition, but it actually works really well on here. It&#8217;s like the two sides of a person clashing with each other. The drums are timely and pounding and the bass is right in the pocket. A lot of this track&#8217;s personality can be attributed to the vocals. The nerdy, adolescent tone accomplished through the lyrical content is bolstered by this singer&#8217;s unique, understated vocal style. These guys have a lot offer.
