Novacub’s ‘Wait Up’ Is Indie Rock With a Deep Pop Sensibility

6 03 18 NovacubNovacub’s ‘Wait Up’ is well-done, straightforward pop-oriented indie rock. Having their new work “recorded with renowned producer Steve Osborne,” who has worked with groups like New Order, U2 and Placebo has left the group “set to truly kick things off in 2018.” These guys clearly take some cues from the post-punk revival, but they have a deeply feminine pop sensibility reminiscent of groups like Paramore or We Are The In Crowd. Really, they seem to be most strongly influenced by Bloc Party. There’s a distinctly British energy on this track that’s not that easy to come by. These guys have a lot to offer. Check out ‘Wait Up’ below!
