Kopernik’s ‘Pret a Tout’ Is Glitzy, Eclectic French Pop Rock

6 4 18 KopernikKopernik’s ‘Pret a Tout’, which means, “ready for everything,” is some glitzy, eclectic French pop rock. This tune, which was produced by members of the well-known pop-metalcore group Chunk! No Captain Chunk! meshes elements of nu metal, post-hardcore and pop music into something that would probably do well on the radio. These guys seem to take a lot from the later work of notable francophone rap metallers Pleymo, but stop short of the group’s cringier more dated elements in favor of a broader pop sensibility. The French are notoriously protective of their culture, so it makes sense these guys chose to write in their native tongue. It’s refreshing in a popular music climate that’s dominated by English. These guys know what they’re doing. Check out ‘Pret a Tout’ below!
