New York City-songwriters, Muza & David Schoenwetter have teamed up to create a great indie-pop EDM style song titled “Roots.” The song has a flavor of emo hip-hop added into it and could fit perfectly on pop radio with groups like The Chainsmokers and Twenty One Pilots. The song is relatable to anyone that has fallen in love with someone who has changed into someone else that is unlikable or just too different. The lyrics talk about a financial gap between the lyricist and the girl he had fallen in love with. It sounds like she turned into a stereotypical LA girl who was more concerned with her appearance and partying than the people that truly love her. The song feels complete with great EDM sounds and soothing vocals that are extremely emotional. The song has already racked up over 20,000 streams on SoundCloud. I’m sure we will hear Muza & David Schoenwetter on the radio soon!
