<p><img class=" wp-image-3766 aligncenter" src="https://rockthepigeon.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/6-22-18-wheel.jpg" alt="6 22 18 Wheel" width="429" height="429" />Wheel&#8217;s &#8216;Pyre&#8217; is bruising, progressive Finnish hard rock. These Helsinki natives &#8220;have been working together since 2015 when former guitarist, Saku introduced James Lascelles (singer/guitarist) to Mikko Määttä (bassist) and Santeri Saksala (drummer).&#8221; They claim to be known for their &#8220;meticulous attention to detail, a fondness for unusual meters and poly-rhythms and their explosive live shows. They have already toured Germany and the UK and are planning more shows in 2018 to support their latest release, <em>The Divide</em> EP.&#8221; These guys certainly bring the prog to radio rock. What&#8217;s really impressive about this piece is the way it doesn&#8217;t sacrifice compositional complexity or heaviness for its pop sensibility. These guys really have a handle on what could bring metal back to the mainstream. Check out &#8216;Pyre&#8217; below!</p>
