Hit by Pitch’s ‘Worms’ is eccentric, tight German heavy metal with a wide array of influences. These guys describe themselves as, “somewhere between art and fart.” That mentality – the openness and unpretentiousness – is what may have allowed them to create such a distinctive, fun piece. They can certainly get heavy when they want to, but this song in particular stands out for its janky, winding lead riff. Behind that, a pounding rhythm section keeps the time. On top of everything, some erratic, almost spoof-like vocals give the track an extra dose of character. These guys really know what they’re doing. Check out ‘Worms’ below!
