Dead Superstar’s ‘Beware of the Knife’ is straightforward, clean hard rock with a broad appeal. After an edgy spoken-word intro with keys, the band quickly moves into the riffage. These guys really know how to build and maintain energy within a song. Vocally, they employ a seemingly-alt-rock indebted approach which gives ‘Beware of the Knife’ a level of emotional accessibility that’s often missing in this genre.
