<p><img class=" wp-image-4054 aligncenter" src="https://rockthepigeon.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/7-12-18-crocodile-tears.jpeg" alt="7 12 18 Crocodile Tears" width="424" height="424" />&#8216;Tuned Out&#8217; by Crocodile Tears is poppy retro rock music with a punk-imbued inflection. &#8220;Crocodile Tears is a four piece rock n&#8217; roll outfit from Austin,&#8221; the band says. &#8220;Instead of relying on trickery or false imagery, Crocodile Tears crafts songs that leave the listener affected,&#8221; they say. &#8220;Rock n&#8217; roll is meant to do things to the heart, and it&#8217;s been designed for the groove since Chuck Berry first duck walked.&#8221; These guys have a glammy-yet-raw aesthetic reminiscent of Thin Lizzy. There&#8217;s something uniquely proletarian and masculine about this song, yet it&#8217;s somehow also rooted in poppy, saccharine grooves that seem diametrically opposed to that ideology. Through all of this, it seems like there&#8217;s a distinct pop punk sensibility in here. These guys wouldn&#8217;t be totally out of place in the world of Sugarcult or Lit.
