Cait Devin’s ‘Paradise’ Is Unpretentious Poppy Alt-Rock with a Blues Attitude

6 16 18 Cait DevinCait Devin’s ‘Paradise’ is unpretentious bluesy alt-rock with a notable punk flair. This upbeat yet gritty tune is off the sixteen-year-old’s new EP, Gemini Rising. “Cait has opened for artists from American Idol and the Voice,” she says, “and is a 2018 SAMMY’s People’s Choice Finalist in New York. She enjoys rhythm and lead guitar, and while loving rock music, she takes inspiration from indie pop songwriters like Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran.” The guitar work on here is solid and the rhythm section backs it up well. The highlight of the piece is undoubtedly Devin’s voice which is throaty and soulful yet angelic at the same time. She’s really going places. Check out ‘Paradise’ below!
