‘This White Life’ by Royal Ruckus, is some fun, comical hip-hop. “Royal Ruckus originally hails from Bakersfield, California,” they say, “and has been making fun, conscious hip-hop for two decades.” Last year the group “returned… with The Summer of the Cicadas double album, and now frontman Chunjay,” is working on, “a collaborative project with CookBook from LA Symphony.” These pointed, funny lyrics are really on point. On top of being amusing, they make a real statement about our culture and the different ways music manifests itself in peoples’ lives.
