This Kansas City, Missouri outfit includes former members of bands like, &#8220;Waiting for Signal, Pet Comfort and Red Line Chemistry,&#8221; their website says. Over the course of a relatively quiet extended intro, these musicians do a consummate job of working their way up to the piece&#8217;s emotional crux. Here, hearty, full-throated vocals lay over plinky atmospheric guitars and a solid, pocketed rhythm section before the whole group flies into a traditional hard rock climax. There&#8217;s definitely a good sense of intensity, but it&#8217;s the kind of intensity that could go well on a more accessible Spotify playlist or even on the radio.
