‘Premonitions’ by The Albino Eyes Is Simple, Scaley Pop-Inflected Indie

‘Premonitions’ by The Albino Eyes is simple, scaley indie rock with a pop-inflected approach. These guys say their song is, “as much a montage of complexity and contradiction as a straightforward indie rock release.” Their new album Last Transmissions “leaps from childhood memory (1974), via catchy anthemic rock stanzas (Premonitions / When Saturday Comes / Loaded Curly Fries), through to its dramatic, climactic ending (Watching the Machines), in 43 highly charged minutes.” These guys definitely know what a streamlined sound is supposed to be. This largely frill-free tune is defined by its quirky synths and sing-along melodies. Behind that, some really clean, strong production provides a solid base. Everything on this track works really nicely together. Check out ‘Premonitions’ below!
