<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5703" src="https://rockthepigeon.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/11-26-18-spooky-cigarette.jpg?w=894" alt="11 26 18 Spooky Cigarette.jpg" width="447" height="447" />Spooky Cigarette&#8217;s &#8216;In Due Time&#8217; is warbly pensive rock music with a fuzzy retro sensibility. The band describes the track as, &#8220;about the exasperation, the wishing for a change all the while knowing that change takes time. Part punk and part sixties-nugget,&#8221; they say it &#8220;brings the classic and modern together to form an eclectic amalgamation of angular structures, squiggly pop melodies, and hand-clappin&#8217; wop.&#8221; These guys do a really solid job of wrangling a throwback aesthetic and fusing it with a modern mood and approach. There&#8217;s a calmness on here that somehow exists impressively well with a clear sense of longing and anxiety. This is a strong track from a cool band.
