Straight from the Island of Jamaica are Linval Thompson, Addis Pablo, and Danzky with a fresh reggae track. The track, titled “Be Free (Manilla) – main theme” has an authentic reggae groove to it. It’s impossible to not appreciate the instrumentation and vocal delivery on this song. Each part of the production on this track serves a purpose and was clearly well thought out. The song flows perfectly. The song comes from a recently released EP titled “Manilla – Riddim”, which is a collaboration between the three artists. The EP also features an instrumental version of the track. The song features incredible percussion and even a beautiful horn section. It’s definitely a song that will get the crowd swaying in a heartbeat. The song has a very chill feel to it but the lyrics are political and speak about being oppressed. The song is a plea for peace. The song could serve as a theme song for people to come together or even a song that can be used to make people feel more understanding to each other.
