Canadian act Opeongo’s new song “Less of Me” may remind listeners of T. Rex or even the Hedwig and the Angry Inch Musical Soundtrack. The song feels slightly punk and slightly glam rock, but also very unique. “Less of Me” feels like an anthem due to the instrumentation choices, a slowly played piano, a melodic guitar riff, and slowly paced drums that are banging on the track. The vocals are delivered in a moody style which makes the song catchy enough to want to listen to it again and again. Openongo is working on their debut LP right now. Keegan Trumpour is Openongo.
