On August 21st, 2019 More Giraffes and Figs Vision entertained LA with a show organized by “We Found New Music” at The Hi Hat.
More Giraffes is an LA based synth-pop duo known for their chill vibes and carefree pop tracks. Their music is their playground and they are always excited to share it with you. Last night they welcomed us into that playground with open arms and first time performances of some of their newest work. The duo was very well rehearsed and totally captivated the audience. The greatest part to me was that they just looked like they were having fun and getting lost in their own music. The lead singer, Keeley, even jumped off the stage and started dancing with the crowd. Overall, it was just an amazing performance and a really good time. You’ll definitely want to add their songs to your summer playlist. Be on the lookout for the release of their new EP “Bermuda” coming soon!

With the audience still on a high from the fun dance pop vibes of the previous set, Figs Vision took the stage.
Figs Vision is an LA based psychedelic-pop rock band who like to dabble in the avant-garde. Last night they mesmerized the crowd at Hi Hat with songs off of their highly anticipated new EP, “Choo Choo”. This is the first show the band has played together since reuniting after a 3 year musical hiatus. I was blown away by their ability to recreate the well mixed and mastered sounds of the EP during their live show. The band was super high energy and really knew how to put on an entertaining performance. In addition to their mind blowing music and powerful stage presence, they had two incredible dancers come up on stage AND they gave the audience donuts. This is a band that isn’t afraid to take creative risks and it worked. The audience was super engaged and impressed by them (I mean how can you go wrong with kick ass dancers and free donuts). It was the perfect comeback show.
