Better Son Releases Alt-Rock Jam “You Can Be a Mountain”

Country pop/alt-rock duo Better Son released “You Can Be a Mountain” and beautiful lyric video to go with the jam, and we can’t get enough!

Better Son is the all original music project of two brothers from central New Jersey expressing their music through different genres including: Country Pop, Alternative Rock, and Christian Rock.

After years of building up a reputation of one of the premier high energy cover bands in the central New Jersey area known as “The Dawgs”, these two members decided it was finally time to share their own creations with the audiences beyond just their home town.

The end result was a collection of songs with an undeniable organic sound that will pull you in and have you humming their melodies in your head the rest of the day.

Their new single “You Can Be a Mountain” perfectly encompasses organic country instrumental sounds and vocal melodies combined with a splash of alt-rock for the chorus and the bridge. With a catchy chorus and wonderfully stacked vocal harmonies, we can’t get this song out of our head! The lyrics alone are full of clever metaphors that make you ponder. It feels as if we are there with them jamming out on the guitar over the hard percussion and soft vocals. We find that music can take you to different places, and this song puts you in that live setting, something we all miss amidst the pandemic.

The visuals in the lyric video take you to another place. It includes beautiful stock footage of mountains with snow peaks, to gorgeous beachy scenery to accompany the wonderful song. The cherry on top of the cake to the song is the guitar and instrumental breakdown in the bridge and at the very end.
