Daft Punk Announce Breakup with Dramatic Explosion Video

The famously-masked (with helmets) French duo creatively announced the end of Daft Punk with futuristic short film titled “Epilogue.” The films clips are from the 2006 film Electroma. Uploaded to their YouTube account today, the video has already generated over 2 Million views and tens of thousands of comments from heartbroken fans saddened by the retirement of Daft Punk. Daft Punk’s publicist has confirmed the split but no reason was given for the retirement.

The duo collaborated for 28 years and with hits “Get Lucky”  “One More Time” and “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger.” Daft Punk has been nominated for 12 Grammy awards, and won 6 awards.

I really wish Daft Punk had not told us they were splitting up. Just give a new guy the helmet & let us think everything is fine. I also wish my parents had worn helmets & done this. Maybe this is more of a conversation to have with a therapist.
