Bradspectactular Drops Energetic Single “Games”

With an insanely catchy hook and unmatchable energy, “Games” by Bradspectactular is worth the listen.

Bradspectacular is an artist from the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia, but he currently lives in Houston, TX. His style is like if Zack Fox and Baby Keem had a baby with Kenny Beats and Metro Boomin’s baby. He makes bangers that you can party to and nod your head to depending on your mood.

He likes to make people laugh and have a good time. He is just an all around great guy with a creative mind and different approach to rap music. You will definitely not find another rapper quite like him, so give him a shot.

When I first heard “Games,” I was immediately captured by the bouncy instrumental. Combine that with Bradspectactular’s energetic delivery and ad libs and you have a certified head banger. The hook to this track is not only fun to rap along with, but really puts you in that headspace to rage to it. Now that the song is out on all platforms, I’ve found myself listening to it on repeat. This track is definitely one you want to stream if you like high energy hip-hop.

I had the chance to interview Bradspectactular, check it out below!

Bryce: What inspired you to make this song?

Bradspectactular: Like most of the songs I’ve made with Trust201, this song came to be after a long shift of bartending. Trust sent me a Google Drive folder of all his beats and I was feeling inspired, so I looked through his folder and found the beat for Games. I was instantly hooked to the carnival game-like sound that loops through the song. It sounds so goofy and fun and contrasts with the hard drums and 808’s Trust is using perfectly. I knew I could create something just as wild and cartoonish with my writing and delivery. I wrote this song in 30 minutes because I just knew what I wanted to do with it. I wanted a quick banger that had a punk quality to it. It’s quick, fast, and to the point. It’s not playing any “Games.” See what I did there? *eye roll*

Bryce: What was your favorite part about making this song?

Bradspectactular: My favorite part about making the song was hearing Trust’s initial mix of it and being so excited because it’s like he knew exactly what I wanted it to sound like. Of course there were a few tweaks we made to the song, but it was so close to perfect the first time. It was just a really dope moment. Trust knows his sound really well and he knows how to mix my vocals to fit that sound while also meshing it well with my own. Our songs sound grimey and there is a hard hitting punch to them. I love the feeling our songs create.

Bryce: Where did you record this song, and what are the vibes like in the studio with you?

Bradspectactular: I’ve literally only recorded in a professional studio twice. I have a recording setup that I use at my house. I usually record alone and I don’t waste any time. I get as many takes in as I can and I pick my favorites and then I compile all of them and send them to Trust for him to mix and master. That’s what I did with “Games” as well. I’m sure my vibe in a professional studio would be the same though. I would have all the things I wanted to record ready and I wouldn’t waste any time recording them. Yeah the vibe can be chill and people can be in the studio, but I would rather it just be me and my producer and my engineer. Less distractions so we can push through and record as many songs as possible and keep the ideas going. In short, I have everything planned before recording and then just record until I’m done. That’s the gist of it.

Bryce: Was this release cathartic for you?

Bradspectactular: Yeah, it feels good to finally put out music, but It’s also stressful though because I’m one hundred percent independent and have to do all this promo and everything by myself and I can’t slack on it. No one will hear the song if I don’t work to give them the opportunity to do so. The music industry is so saturated, so I have to make sure I’m finding the opportunities like this one to get my name out there and have people hear what I’m making. Mad stressful. But exciting.

Bryce: What keeps you motivated?

Bradspectactular: Knowing that if I keep doing this and pushing everyday that something will come from it. I’m already seeing the results of consistency, so I’m just going to keep staying consistent. I literally have so much music in the vault right now, so I have plenty of content to keep putting out there. I just have to get it all organized and put it out the right way. I’m gonna drop a lot this year and I ain’t gonna be shy about it.

Bryce: What can we expect next from you?

Bradspectactular: You can expect me to drop. I have music with my band BORO that is literally some of the best music I’ve ever made. I have another single and I have a project with Trust I’m going to be dropping and I have songs with other incredible producers that I’ve been working with coming soon. I’m also working on so much new music right now and constantly recording. I’m on a roll. It feels good.

Bryce: What other artists are you listening to right now?

Bradspectactular: My band BORO and my fellow bandmates Maxted and Hathi Beats for sure. My good friends Black Fenyx and Nikonowhere have a single out called “January 29th” that is phenomenal. Trust201 just dropped a beat tape called “LOST” that every aspiring rapper should check out. Brevin Kim has put out some incredible singles this year. This group Rebels No Savage from Winston Salem, NC are killing it right now and their new project is heat. Also a big fan of my friend Jessica Scheider and her band Reliably Bad. Mollie Coddled from the UK is also someone everyone should be listening to because her new single “Burden” is *chef’s kiss*. The new Rosalía, Black Country, New Road’s new project, Cities Aviv “MAN PLAYS THE HORN,” Saba “Few Good Things.” I could go on and on. I’m constantly listening to new music.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer those questions for us!
