We’re Wolves Celebrate Linkin Park with Hard Rock Rendition of “One Step Closer”

As a dedication to Linkin Park’s indispensable influence on hard rock and a nod to Chester Bennington’s everlasting impression on We’re Wolves, the band shares their spin on the beloved Hybrid Theory hit, “One Step Closer.”

The rockers are trailblazers in the genre, attributing their success to their high-octane covers of their favorite songs including their viral takes on “Bodies” by Drowning Pool, “Break Stuff” by Limp Bizkit, and more. The buzz surrounding the band was propelled further by their debut album of original music, “Evil Things.” This cover in particular hits home as they pay tribute to one of their biggest influences who started it all.

Linkin Park is one of the most influential bands in our generation. We have always wanted to pay tribute to them by covering one of their songs. One Step Closer was my personal introduction to the band and has always been on my mind when we’ve discussed working on covers. Chester Bennington was and still is an absolute icon. I can speak for all of us when I say upon hearing of his passing we were all individually devastated. It’s been 5 years since he passed. We felt the time was right to honor the man who had such a huge positive impact on music today. We hope we can make all you Linkin Park fans proud with this cover.
