This will be Long Island native Alric “AC” Carter’s first local solo show, fresh off his successful TAUK album release and sold out performance at the Blue Note in NYC. An official voting member for the Grammy Committee, the eclectic “AC” has been an accomplished Music Teacher, Composer, and sought after Freelance Musician for over 12 years.
TAUK emerged in the early 2010s playing a cross-pollinated brand of jazz, funk, prog, and instrumental jam band rock. Favorites on the jam band circuit, Tauk keep an intense live schedule, appearing at festivals around the globe. Although friends since their teens, the band members came to wider attention after Tauk toured with Umphrey’s McGee. More tours followed, including stints with Robert Randolph and Widespread Panic, as well as appearances at Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, and the Allman Brothers’ Peach Music Festival. Along with their live schedule, they have continued to record regularly. – All Music Guide
