Matt Michaelis brings us back to the classic rock era with his powerful psychedelic rock song “The Weatherman.” His guitar playing is sometimes melodic and sometimes more jammy which reminds listeners of Metallica and other times of Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin. The vocals are a bit more modern reminding us of hit band The Black Keys. Matt Michaelis is a multi-instrumentalist and also a producer. The production of the song is very real as the listener can feel and rock with each instrument. The end of the song has a riff that carries long after you turn it off which makes listeners want to put it on again to get another taste of Matt’s creative power. It’s amazing to hear real instruments in music and Matt does it very well.
