Alae’s ‘Stone Cold’ Is Definitely the Best Song You’ll Hear Today – Trust Me

4 18 18 Alae

Alae’s ‘Stone Cold’ is a confounding, intriguing indie rock song. The New Zealand outift, which consists of multi-instrumentalists Alex Farrell-Davey and Allister Meffan as well as drummer Jayden Lee, has tons to offer. ‘Stone Cold’ starts out with an airy, engaging guitar riff with some subdued drums and cautious vocals. At some point, the song develops into an all out multi-instrumental DAW composition. The horns in particular give ‘Stone Cold’ a lot of character. What can’t be understated here is how well each of the instruments here, MIDI or not, are composed and played. These guys are truly exceptional. Go check them out!
