BUHU’s ‘All Eye’ is minimalist, emotive indie pop. The group describes this song as, “a percussive, synth driven song about growth and personal discovery through critical self examination.” They identify Phil Collins as a particularly strong influence. The punching, staccato synths that accentuate the intro provide a clear sense of intensity and anticipation. When the vocals drop, it becomes abundantly clear what this track is. The chorus, towards the middle of the song, is undoubtedly the piece’s emotional crux. These guys really know how to do more with less. This track is a masterful retro electronic composition.
