‘Critical’ by Cusses Is Glam-Smeared, Female-Driven Punk Rock

5 26 18 Cusses‘Critical’ by Cusses is dark, atmospheric glam-smeared punk rock. After “relentless touring, the band went on hiatus in 2015 with no plans to reunite.” In spite of their exhaustion, “a casual jam brought them back together and at the suggestion of a friend.” After regrouping, they landed a spot opening for Bon Jovi on his 2016-2017 tour. These guys have a good grip on balancing melancholy elements with a strong pop sensibility. In this regard, they seem to share a lot with Paramore. On the other hand, these guys hit hard. They definitely have a little bit of a hair metal aesthetic, but at their core Cusses is a hard rock group rooted in a punk ethos. These guys are true up-and-comers. Check out ‘Critical’ below!
