‘From The Outside’ By Real Friends Is Everything You Could Ever Ask of Emo Pop

6 7 18 Real Friends‘From The Outside’, the newest single from Chicagoland pop-punkers Real Friends, is a straightforward discussion of depression housed in a sparkly, indie pop-influenced rock track. These guys have always been at the cutting edge of whatever happens at the convergence of emo and pop punk – and this release is no exception. Like Remo Drive and Neck Deep have done recently, these guys have ditched some of the more played out elements of emo in favor of a fresher pop rock sound. In conjunction with the familiar, inimitable howls of Dan Lambton, which are truly a cut above the rest, the band’s new approach has resulted in a tune that has a wide reach without sacrificing any lyrical or musical authenticity. These guys really know what they’re doing. Check out ‘From The Outside’ below!
