‘Genetic Flashback’ by Mississippi Bones is sludgy, balls-out southern hard rock. Their new album Radio Free Conspiracy is, according to the band, “a 20-track concept album that is half rock record and half pulp-science fiction radio tomfoolery. Chock full of big riffs and thick grooves, Radio Free Conspiracy Theory is as unique of a rock record as you will find in 2018.” These guys have a propulsive groove that keeps the piece rolling and thundering from beginning to end. These guys definitely take some cues from stoner rock groups like Sleep or Kyuss, but there’s a bluesy, classic rock flair in here that gives the tune some charm. Behind all that is a group of quality musicians who are passionate about their art. This is absolutely worth a listen. Check out ‘Genetic Flashback’ below!
