The Amber Unit’s ‘Don’t Believe Them’ is quiet, patient Swiss alt-rock. “The five musicians of The Amber Unit may not be a family,” they say, yet there is still a “kindred blood that flows in their veins. They are painting the same pictures. Anyone who has listened to music in Switzerland for the last 20 years knows the sophisticated and emotional music of The Amber Unit.” They self-identify with their “colourful guitar sounds, a sonorous and well thought-out rhythmic foundation, intertwined with the sounds of violin and electronica and on top of it all Vic’s inimitable voice.” These guys do a good job of holding their punches until the right time.
