The American Classic’s ‘Knocked Loose’ Is Glitzy Hard Rock with Punk Tendencies

7 2 18 The American ClassicThe American Classic’s ‘Knocked Loose’ is glitzy, commercial hard rock with clear punk tendencies. These Portland, Maine, natives “recently finished their 2018 debut EP, Blossom,” which was, “recorded at The Halo Studio in Windham, Maine, and mastered at Gateway Mastering by Adam Ayan in Portland.” These guys definitely have a good handle on fusing melody with intensity. It’s not totally clear if the song title is homage to the prolific beatdown group, but these guys certainly take cues from post-hardcore and metalcore. In particular, they have a lot in common with Escape the Fate, Blessthefall and I See Stars. These guys are strong musicians and they’ve done a really good job on here in terms of production.
