‘Huntress’ by Swells is funky, global music with tons going on. It’s hard to put your finger on exactly what this is. On top of traditional rock instrumentation, the group employs a whole suite of different instruments to achieve a big band feel. In some regards, there’s kind of a ska vibe, but at the same time these guys seem more jazz-inclined. On here, it’s easy to imagine the lead singer functioning as a bandleader of sorts. This scorching, uncategorizable mix has something for everyone. Check out ‘Huntress’ below!
