Deathtrap’s ‘Gravestepper’ Is Powerful Dutch Metalcore

7 31 18 DeathtrapDeathtrap’s ‘Gravestepper’ is powerful dutch metalcore with a notable thrash influence. “Starting out in 2013,” the band has brought, “their own unique brand of heavy, groovy Southern-influenced metallic hardcore all over the world. They have been steadily gaining a reputation as a wild and uncompromising band and have always been known for writing hard-hitting tracks that are filled to the brim with a wide variety of riffs.” These guys are kind of a throwback to an earlier era of metalcore. In a lot of ways, they preserve a lot of the more traditional thrash and hardcore elements than most of the genre’s modern practitioners have. In large part, the group is defined by its ballsy, groovy sound. In this regard, some parallels can be drawn between them and Hatebreed. These guys know what they’re doing.
