Kuchimatl’s ‘Come Home’ is eclectic, spacey electronic music with a decidedly human approach. “Kuchimatl is Javier Correa,” who describes himself as, “a Mexican keyboardist with an androgynous and exotic singing voice.” He says his music features, “an electro-pop aesthetic mixed with otherworldly sound passages, and a spiritual punk attitude on stage.” There’s definitely a lot of cool stuff coming together on here. The whole piece has an intense trance-like glare that reels the listener in. Over that, a mysterious, dynamic vocal performance really allows the track to take off. This would be a strong instrumental on its own, but the soulfulness this ungendered human voice brings is what really puts the track over the top. This is a strong showing from a talented artist.
