Joe Kaplow’s new song “I Said I Was Going and I Went” is a stunning acoustic ballad that mixes folk with blues. The vocal melody is sung over a deep acoustic guitar riff that is played slowly and soulfully. The tender melody travels to the listeners ears slowly, giving them just enough time to form opinions of where they might want to hear the melody go to for the next line. The melody seems to go just there, pleasing the listener completely, forcing the listener to devour the lyrics and let them seep deep into their heart. By the end of Joe Kaplow’s folk song you will be itching to hear more of his work, and luckily there is more on his Spotify page. Just before the 3 minute mark the song picks up with additional instruments, including percussion. The song ends with an epic vibe, almost like a solider marching into a war that he knows he is going to win. Enjoy the song on Spotify now:
