
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Soulful, fierce, powerful. These words accurately describe Swedish artist Alex Runo&#8217;s newest song &#8220;Devil.&#8221; Elements of gospel, soul, blues, and rock could be heard in this production. The song has a dark topic, seeming to be about demonic possession and the music accentuates that dark tale. The vocal is raw for the most part, but sometimes a vocoder is used to make the vocals sound deeper and more &#8220;devil-like.&#8221; Overall, the song follows a soulful and bluesy style melody, that is captivating while feeling nostalgic. The background vocals are just as contagious as the lead, and add a gospel choir element to the song, creating an even more musically powerful anthem. Lyrics go: <em>&#8220;Wash me clean and baptize me&#8230;The devil got inside me.&#8221; </em></p>
